Argo SpA is the Financial Holding company of the Morra family, which has been in the agricultural machinery and mechanics business for 4 generations.
The Group, chaired by Valerio Morra, controls several manufacturing, service-providing and distribution undertakings, besides the highly prestigious Landini, McCormick, Valpadana, Sep, Laverda, Fella and Pegoraro brands belonging to the Group’s traditional line of business, i.e. agricultural machines, on which its entrepreneurial and managerial focus have been exclusively concentrated, as well as its economic and financial resources.
Argo’s brands are available in all the principal markets of the world, where the group works through direct sales organizations that promote and market its tractors and agricultural machines as well as providing after-sales services.
Based on a sound capacity for development, Argo is now able to compete efficiently throughout the world with its own technology. This makes the Group self-sufficient and capable of defining its own product development strategies.
Thanks to this policy, Argo has created a manufacturing and business group centered on products that are in synergy with one another from the technical and marketing aspects. So much so, the Group is able to offer a complete range of tractors, combine harvesters, balers, haymaking implements, harrows, ploughs and front loaders, all of which are covered by its various different brands. The business has become even more comprehensive with the supply of O.E.M. tractors, services and spare parts.
Such a wide range of products combined with an increasingly more international sales strategy allows Argo to play a leading role in the world’s agricultural machinery sector.
Argo SpA recently re-organized its corporate structure and created two distinct but synergic divisions.
The first, known as the “Tractor Division”, deals with everything that concerns the tractor world and is managed by Argo Tractors SpA, which includes the Landini and McCormick brands. With a production output of some 25,000 tractors marketed throughout the world, and a group turnover of nearly 700 million euros, Argo Tractors SpA is one of the first 5 most important players of the western world in this particular sector.
The second, known as “Agricultural Machine Division” controls all the agricultural machinery enterprises and is managed by Laverda SpA. With a production output of over 10,000 machines and a group turnover of nearly 200 million euros, this company is also one of the most important players in the world in its particular line of business.
2750 persons are employed by the Argo Group as a whole.
